Against a harrowing backdrop – spanning over 50 years of Ukrainian history – this story follows a father and his daughter as they grapple with loss, love, conflict, freedom & oppression.
Revolving around deep-rooted symbolism, the daughter, Kalyna, becomes a representation of a nation tormented by totalitarian forces but unwilling to surrender hope.
We believe, amidst the current onslaught, that acknowledgment of not only Ukraine’s current suffering, but their tumultuous history, vibrant culture, and powerful identity, are critical to engendering empathy and a bond with the individual.

About Ben
Ben Lowell is a multifaceted artist — a composer, actor, and coach — dedicated to storytelling through music and performance. His work spans across theatre, film, and multimedia, bringing a blend of creativity, craft, and heart to every project.
As a composer, Ben has scored original music for commercials, short films, podcasts, and other multimedia projects. He has also written two full-length musicals, further showcasing his ability to merge narrative with music in compelling ways.
As an actor, Ben has performed in more than 20 theatre productions, taking on a wide range of leading and character roles. Some of his most notable roles include:
